As we start the new semester, we wanted to remind you that phishing, spam and fraudulent emails are creative, convincing, and hard to stop. When checking your email – personal or school – please know that if an offer seems too good to be true, it is likely fake.  Fraudsters and criminals will take advantage of students, staff, and faculty with requests for information or offers of money or support. Be aware and verify any request or offer directly with the organization attributed to the offer. Do not respond to the message until after you've had the ability to check it for authenticity. Check in with the appropriate group by looking up their contact information on the ¶¶Òõ̽̽ website. For instance, if you receive a message or offer of employment, reach out to the ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Student Employment Office (¶¶Òõ̽̽ Student Employment Office) and ask if they are aware of the position.

As a reminder for anyone who got new technology over the summer, we have put many more services behind our multi-factor authentication method, Duo.  To find help registering a new device or other questions, go to our Quick tips for registering with Duo at Duo Multi-Factor Authentication – ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Knowledge Base. For our new community members, if you haven't set this up yet, we urge you to do it early to save yourself some time when you come back to campus. If you need additional help, you can reach out to our technical support team, Contact Us – ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Knowledge Base.
