BIO
I am a Ph.D. student in sustainable development policy, economics, and governance. I am interested in exploring the multifaceted contexts affecting pastoral systems to gain valuable insights into the interplay between environmental, economic, political, and social factors in shaping the sustainability of pastoral livelihoods.
I have over 15 years of experience working with the UN, NGOs, and higher institutions of learning. While working with UNICEF Kenya, I coordinated programs in humanitarian action targeting the most deprived children and spearheaded leveraging resources by demonstrating approaches that build community and strengthen systems. Before joining UNICEF, I was Deputy Principal for Academic Affairs at Mount Kenya University. I successfully presided over academics, including supervisory support, technical assistance to teaching and support staff, and overseeing university admissions and examinations.
