CDAE Honors Day and Awards

Every year, the Department of Community Development and Applied Economics celebrates the best and brightest students during the annual Honors Day Celebration. Awards go to our top undergraduate students each year.

CDAE Major Awards

Body

The Major Awards are presented to graduating seniors as nominated by and chosen by the CDAE faculty in Community Entrepreneurship, Community Centered Design, Public Communication, and Community and International Development.

Engaged Scholar Award

Body

This award is presented to an outstanding student who has translated their high level of academic achievement into meaningful contributions to “real world” community development.

CDAE Ambassador Award

Body

This award is presented to an outstanding student who has demonstrated the department's values rooted in community engagement, effective communication, teamwork, sustainability, empathy, and responsibility within and beyond the ̽̽ community.

Thomas F. Patterson Jr. Teaching Assistant Award

Body

This award is presented to an outstanding student(s) exhibiting excellence in the classroom as an undergraduate teaching assistant.

Scholastic Achievement Awards

Body

These awards are presented to the students in the top ten percent of their major.
