The Cancer Research, Training, and Education Coordination (CRTEC) program's goals are to: 

  • Inspire the next generation of cancer scientists and clinicians
  • Train a new generation of cancer scientists and clinicians through cancer research training and educational programs
  • Mentor and support the career development of current faculty members.

Careers in Cancer

Body

Local high school students are invited to the ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Cancer Center for an immersive four-hour experience to connect with cancer clinicians and scientists to learn more about career pathways in cancer.

Summer Research Fellowship

Body

As a paid Summer Research Fellow, undergraduate, graduate and medical students gain hands-on experience in cancer research under the mentorship of a ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Cancer Center member.

BioMobile Discovery Lab

The ¶¶Òõ̽̽CC Mobile Laboratory aims to bring hands-on research experience to rural Vermont communities and schools.

Travel Awards

Body

Travel awards are available to all Trainee members who have been accepted to present a cancer-related poster or talk at a conference.

The Rural Health and Cancer Conference aims to reduce the rural-urban cancer disparity gap by convening diverse experts from across the nation.

Trainee Membership

Body

Trainee members include all high school students, University students (undergraduate, medical, graduate), postdoctoral associates, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and clinical fellows conducting cancer related research.
