Uyoyoghene Onothoja will examine the environmental impacts of irrigation agriculture on food production in Sub-Saharan Africa. As growing populations and erratic weather increase local interest in irrigation, Onothoja’s research will help improve the efficiency and productivity of irrigated agriculture while reducing its impact on the environment.
