Fabio Daniel Trinco holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, a Ph.D. in Biology, and is currently a postdoctoral fellow. The main purpose of his current work is to design and evaluate land use and management strategies to contribute to the adaptation/mitigation of global change in the representative socio-ecological systems of the northern Patagonia region, emphasizing biodiversity, functions and the ecosystem services associated with the soil system.

Additionally, Fabio investigates the functioning of native forests in Northern Patagonia with the goal of achieving sustainable use. His studies are focused on forests that are used for livestock farming, in particular, assessments related to native tree regeneration and forage productivity. He combines multiple remote sensing tools with field-sampled data to answer questions related to global change, sustainable agriculture and forest resilience.

Fabio’s interdisciplinary approach contributes to our understanding of how to balance human activities with the preservation of vital ecosystems in this ecologically significant region.
