We are pleased to welcome  you to the Department of Counseling, Human Development and Family Science (CHDF) in the College of Education and Social Services at ¶¶Òõ̽̽.
CHDF is an interdisciplinary department comprised of a undergradate major and minor in Human Development and Family Science, a CACREP accredited Master of Science in Counseling with tracks in School Counselng and Clinical Mental Health Counseling Programs, and our recently launched a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Our programs help students understand human development, systemic and contextual influences on individual and family functioning, and what humans need to flourish across the lifespan. Our students engage in outstanding internship and practicum opportunities. A strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in research, teaching, and service is a hallmark of our department.
The success of our degree programs stems from our nationally recognized  faculty and their commitment to our undergraduate and graduate students’ success, both inside and outside the classroom.
