Larry Medsker works in Physics Education Research on active learning in SCALE-UP environments and curriculum issues for transitions courses from physics to engineering. His research in AI includes work on artificial neural networks and hybrid intelligent systems, and he has authored over 100 published articles and four books. He is Chair of the ACM US Technology Policy Committee and Affiliate Faculty at the George Mason University Center for Assured Research and Engineering (CARE), where he is Director of the Science & Technology Ethics Policy (STEP) Collaborative. He serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of AI and Ethics and Associate Editor of Neural Computing and Applications.
