- Ph.D., Carnegie-Mellon University, 1974
BIO
Research interests include magnetic measurements on biomolecules and related model complexes containing transition metal ions. Experimental data collected by Mossbauer spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, and magnetic susceptibility measurements are fitted to theoretical models with specific emphasis on the electronic structure at the metal site.
Dr. Spartalian has a A.B. degree from Princeton University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Carnegie-Mellon University.
Area(s) of expertise
Experimental studies of biological physics.
