Funding
Staff Council Professional Development Fund
All non-unionized ¶¶Òõ̽̽ staff are eligible to apply for up to $500 to assist with a professional development opportunity such as a training, membership, or conference attendance. Application periods occur quarterly.
Staff Emergency Loan Fund
The Staff Emergency Loan Fund (SELF) provides interest free loans on an emergency basis to University of Vermont permanent full time or part time staff members who have successfully completed their probationary period. SELF is supported through funds raised by the Staff Council and individual contributions from members of ¶¶Òõ̽̽ community. SELF is overseen by the Staff Council through the Staff Council Office.
Recognition
Community Service Award
The Staff Council Community Engagement Committee will recognize demonstrated volunteerism by ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Staff with a $25 award (per staff member) made payable to the 501c3 group or organization located in the State of Vermont, or work directly benefits Vermont and its people connected to the staff member’s volunteer effort. ¶¶Òõ̽̽ staff members are limited to one application per calendar year.
Applications are to be submitted to the Staff Council Office. The Staff Council Community Engagement Committee will review and process award applications at their monthly meeting, following receipt of the application. Please note that funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, until the funds are depleted. Support for this Award Program is dependent upon availability of funds, and is not guaranteed.

Ethics and Compliance Reporting and Help Line
Employees are encouraged to use the Ethics and Compliance Reporting and Help Line to address questions regarding compliance issues or anonymously to report incidents or situations that may involve violations of the University's Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards or other policy standards or legal requirements.

Invest EAP
is a Vermont-based public and private non-profit collaborative that has offered comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services since 1986. Our EAP provides confidential short-term counseling and referral, management consultation, wellness workshops, and resources and referral information on a wide range of issues (such as eldercare, parenting techniques, and financial problems).
Library Media and Streaming Services
¶¶Òõ̽̽ Libraries contains a . These include documentaries, interviews, and archival footage. , one of these streaming services, also includes films in many genres, titles from the Criterion Collection, Kino Lorber, and the BBC, as well as numerous titles in languages other than English. If you create an account, you can create clips of these films, and you can download an app to view the collection on your mobile device.

Staff Council maintains a list of on-campus notary publics who are available to help ¶¶Òõ̽̽ staff with notary needs. Please contact a notary public ahead of time to schedule a visit.
