NASA CONNECTS
provides teachers with free and efficient access to NASA STEM resources, including knowledge articles, lesson plans, activities, videos, STEM events, NASA experts, and so much more. Teachers can connect with one another on the platform and even set up smaller groups to connect with educators focused on the same topics, goals, or communities.
Some examples of features on NASA CONNECTS:
- Resource Library - hosts knowledge articles providing STEM content rich with educational resources, sorted by topic
- Groups - join a group specific to your interests for richer discussions, including by student age groups, topics, informal educators, and more
- Collections - save NASA content in collections for easier and efficient use while teaching, and follow each others' collections for additional resources and inspiration
- Event Calendar - learning opportunities such as webinars for educators, STEM events for students, and exclusive events for CONNECTS users
- Member Map and Directory - connect with other CONNECTS member organizations
Space Camp for Teachers
The U.S. Space and Rocket Center has partnered with the Council of Chief State School Officers for over 25 years to enable the Teachers of the Year to participate in the internationally known program, Space Academy for Educators. This professional development program uses the format of astronaut training to convey new ways of teaching science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts to the world’s future workforce. The hands-on learning activities are designed to be easily replicated in the classroom. VTSGC provides a scholarship for Vermont Teachers of the Year to attend this space camp, so contact us today if you plan to attend!

The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont creates fun, accelerated learning Institutes with residential programs on college campuses for Vermont teenagers like your students!
