The Student Government Association (SGA) Senate at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ represents the opinions, ideas, and beliefs of the undergraduate student body.

Student senators work to communicate the concerns and views of undergraduate students to the University’s Administration to foster change and enhance the student experience across campus.

How can I engage with SGA?

The SGA Senate meets in the Livak Ballroom on the 4th floor of the  every Tuesday at 7:00PM. We also livestream our meetings weekly on .

All students are welcome to come by to hear what we are working on, and all students are also welcome to share their thoughts and concerns by scheduling a time to speak during Public Forum. If you'd like to present a topic or an idea to the Senate during Public Forum, please reach out to the SGA Speaker by emailing sgaspeaker@uvm.edu!

¶¶Òõ̽̽’s SGA Senate is comprised of 42 elected student officials - making up the President, Vice President, and a number of senatorial seats. All are students advocating for the betterment of the undergraduate experience at ¶¶Òõ̽̽.

Each SGA Senator sits on one of 8 SGA committees - from Club Affairs to the Committee on the Environment, these committees are tasked with identifying an agenda for their specific area and working to improve the student experience on our campus year round.

Throughout the year, agendas, minutes, and legislation will be uploaded to this website for ease of access to the student body.

Student Trustee - Board of Trustees

Body

Each year a committee of ¶¶Òõ̽̽ undergraduate, graduate, and medical students is charged with selecting one student to serve a two-year term as a full voting member on ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Board of Trustees. To be eligible, prospective student applicants (undergraduate or graduate) must have at least two full years left at ¶¶Òõ̽̽. 

All three application materials, which are linked below, must be submitted by the due date for an applicant to be considered. Applicants must also download and review the four mandatory information files to qualify. You must request access to these files from Mahder.Teferra@uvm.edu by January 3, 2025. The application materials will be due January 6th, 2025.
