Program Overview

A minor in forestry gives students the skills and knowledge to address the needs of a changing planet by managing forests for resilience, adaptation, climate mitigation, and a full range of ecosystem services.

  • Learn how to measure and assess forest ecosystems to support conservation decision making for diverse values and objectives
  • Understand different forest management and silvicultural practices and their use to achieve management objectives for diverse outcomes, including biodiversity conservation, adaptation to changing climate and disturbance regimes, and wood production.
