Envisioning An Engaged Community

The Office of Student & Community Relations provides resources and support to University of Vermont students as they transition to living off campus. We aim to facilitate communication and build relationships among students and non-students so that they can create healthy, safe, and socially just neighborhoods.

Our Commitment

As an office, we are committed to:

  • Creating a safe, restorative, and socially just off-campus environment for students and non-student neighbors
  • Providing resources, education, and support for students moving off campus
  • Collaborating with students, neighbors, and city partners to improve the collective quality of life in Burlington

We believe that creating an environment for developing and sustaining positive relationships between students and their neighbors through dialogue and action will contribute to the successful transition of our students to off-campus living and lead to healthier neighborhoods.
