It’s been around six years since we last presented Frigg in our hall, and we’re excited to have this sizzling Nordic septet back. Hot, hot music from cool, cool Scandinavia, they perform heart-bursting, life-affirming, feel good tunes with immaculate musicianship. The tight interplay of four violins, mandolin, cittern, and bass, fine-tuned to perfection and spiced with sparkling, humorous energy, is jaw-dropping fun. Named after the Norse goddess of love and fertility, Frigg have been credited with creating their own style of music, dubbed “Nordgrass”, which fuses Nordic folk and American bluegrass into a unique blend with widespread appeal among folk, world, and classical music fans alike.
