Symptoms of gonorrhea can vary depending on the gender of the infected person and the location of the infection:
People with vaginas:
- Pain or burning when urinating
- Increased vaginal discharge
- Vaginal bleeding between periods
- Fever
- Chills
- Vomiting
- Low abdominal pain
- Pain with sex
People with penises:
- Pain and/or burning when urinating
- A white, yellow, or green discharge from the penis
- Painful or swollen testicles
- Fever
- Pain around the bladder, groin, or rectum
STI Rectal infections: Discharge, anal itching, soreness, bleeding, painful bowel movements
STI Throat infections: Sore throat with swollen glands
