For Larger Departmental Moves
Departmental, office and laboratory moves that are associated with renovation and construction projects are handled by the Project Coordinator assigned within the Planning, Design and Construction (PD&C) team.

For Minor Moving Services
The Recycling crew in Custodial Services unit provides limited moving services for on-campus departments. For example, help with moving boxes, files, or office furniture between buildings and with removing items destined for disposal, recycling, or surplus. If needed, they will coordinate with outside contractors and/or refer departments to an outside moving company authorized to do business with ¶¶Òõ̽̽. Departments are charged for this service. Get the process started by submitting a service request through Planon.
Follow these moving tips
- Provide as much written detail as possible with your Planon service request. E.g., will furniture need to be disassembled? do you have a specific timeline for moving items?
- Advance notice and planning ahead is required. During busy times, it may take several weeks to schedule this service.
- We do not supply empty boxes.
- Items must be clearly labelled to indicate where they are being moved to. Smaller or loose items should be put into sturdy boxes.
- File cabinets must be completely emptied for us to safely move them.
