Policies and Procedures

The Office of Equal Opportunity investigates complaints by administering an equal opportunity complaint procedure including investigating allegations of prohibited discrimination and harassment brought by students, faculty, and staff.

This office also resolves complaints of discrimination based race, color, religion, national origin, including shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics, place of birth, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, positive HIV-related blood test results, genetic information, gender identity or expression, or status as a disabled veteran, recently separated veteran, active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran, or Armed Forces service medal veteran (collectively “protected veterans”), or crime victim status, as these terms are defined under applicable law, or any other factor or characteristic protected by law, and ensure that all employment decisions are based only on valid job requirements.
