CMB Seminar
The CMB seminar series is a weekly forum for students to present their research-in-progress. Second year students and above present an annual formal seminar that describes their research, including background, methods, results, and discussion. CMB faculty and students provide evaluations of the student speaker after each presentation to help students improve their presentation skills.ÌýCMB seminar is held at 11:30 am on Tuesdays in the Davis Auditorium.
Annual CMB Retreat
The CMB Program sponsors a one-day retreat for all students and faculty.Ìý This year, the retreat is being held ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Alumni House - Silver Pavillion on Wednesday, August 21. This is a popular venue for exchanging ideas among a diverse group of scientists and researchers, and simply socializing with members of one of the largest graduate programs on campus. The Retreat provides an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the research within the CMB community but also by bringing in selected ¶¶Òõ̽̽ and external keynote speakers.
