BIO
For over 50 years, Associate Professor Lawrence Shelton taught and advised students at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ serving as the program coordinator of the Human Development and Family Studies program for many of those years.
Dr. Shelton has authored and edited several books on child and adolescent development, as well as a number of handbooks and manuals for parents and teachers. He is co-principal investigator of "Supporting Faculty to Teach All Students: A Universal Design Consulting Team Model," a U.S. Department of Education Funded Project.
In recognition for his remarkable contributions to ¶¶Òõ̽̽ community, Dr. Shelton received the Presidents’ Distinguished University Citizenship and Service Award and the Jackie M. Gribbons Award for Extraordinary Service in 2021.
