How do institutions adapt and evolve in the face of shifting initiatives? At the next Research Seminar Series, the Grossman School of Business will host scholar Michael Lounsbury, Professor and A.F. (Chip) Collins Chair at the University of Alberta School of Business on April 10, 2024 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Ifshin Hall Keller Room. This event will explore his research regarding "Wasted? The Rise and Fall of Recycling Coordinators."

The Research Seminar Series provides a platform for University of Vermont faculty and graduate students who are exploring these issues and facilitate scholars to exchange ideas and delve into the latest research and innovative developments within the academic community.  

Professor Lounsbury will navigate the historical trajectory of recycling coordinators, shedding light on their emergence, evolution, and eventual decline within the organizational landscape. Drawing from his extensive research, Lounsbury examines the socio-cultural, economic, and institutional forces that shaped the role and impact of recycling coordinators over time.
