¶¶Òõ̽̽ Grossman School of Business (Grossman School) continues its tradition of excellence within the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) international honor society. Leading Grossman School students were inducted into in a ceremony on Friday, April 19, 2024 preceding the annual Honors Day Celebration. In addition to the new inductees and members who were honored, eligible graduating students were presented with their cords to wear at graduation.
The "Best of the Best" in Business
Since its founding in 1913, BGS has recognized the outstanding academic achievements of collegiate business and management scholars. Membership is by invitation-only, extended to top students at business schools accredited by the International Association to Advance College Schools of Business (AACSB). This makes it the most prestigious recognition a student of business can earn anywhere in the world. BGS lifetime members are considered the "best of the best" in business. As the highest honor attainable at an AACSB-accredited school of business, BGS membership is a symbol of high achievement and indicator of future leadership and success.
Alum Guest Speaker
The induction ceremony was attended by faculty, family, and friends, and featured guest speaker and Grossman School Board of Advisor Associate Board Member Andi Hey, who too was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma while completing her undergraduate business degree at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ in 2018. She also graduated from the Grossman School’s Master of Accountancy program in 2019. In her speech, Andi discussed the values of Beta Gamma Sigma and how they helped her achieve success in her career path, starting at KPMG in New York City in 2019 as an audit associate in financial service before transitioning to the advisory practice specializing in Environmental Social and Governmental (ESG) services. She encouraged students to pursue their passions and interests, and noted that to stand out and keep advancing in your career requires a commitment to the BGS values and ongoing pursuit for excellence and knowledge.
