On Saturday August 5, 2023, the Grossman School of Business (GSB) Sustainable Innovation MBA (SI-MBA) hosted its inauguration ceremony. Twenty new graduates from the latest cohort graduated and join an accomplished alumni community of nearly 300 purpose-driven professionals who are now ready to use business as a force for good.
The cohort was addressed at the ceremony by Grossman Dean Sanjay Sharma, Program Director Kim Nolan, Program Academic Director Professor Chuck Schnitzlein, ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Provost Patricia Prelock, class speaker Joseph Webber, and inauguration speaker Jeffrey Ball, a scholar-in-residence and lecturer at Stanford Law School.
Four students, including Amelia Clark, Alexandra DeMarco, Audrey Roth, and Annie Rowell, were also inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the prestigious, international honor society for business. Amelia Clark was the winner of the Severance Graduate Excellence Award.
GSB's SI-MBA program at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ is an accelerated one-year program that focuses on the essential toolkit to manage — and transform — business. It makes for a rapid learning experience that has our graduates back into the world and making an impact in less time than a two-year MBA. The program continues to be the highest ranked green MBA program that is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the most prestigious accrediting body for business programs. Only 5% of programs worldwide earn this honor.
GSB has evolved how business is taught, incorporating sustainability into every class to develop changemakers who create the businesses of the future that work for people and planet. Business is the engine of change, and we look forward to the impact this cohort will make on our planet and people using their knowledge, skills, and capabilities to transform today’s business and create tomorrow’s truly inclusive and sustainable enterprises. Congratulations to all - we know you’re going to do great things! A tremendous thanks to all those who have helped teach, design, support, and shape our award-winning program.
