Sam is a Partner in Cerity Partners Boston office. He has more than forty years of experience assisting individuals and families with asset management, individual investments and complex estate, tax and gift planning strategies. Sam enjoys the intellectual challenge of identifying and developing solutions to otherwise complicated problems. He believes that education is the cornerstone of all personal and organizational growth, so his advice comes with an educative delivery that benefits his clients’ collective knowledge.

Sam joined the firm in December 2020 when Cerity Partners acquired Bainco International Investors, the independent wealth management and investment advisory firm he founded in 1987.

He earned his Master of Science degree in Systems Design and Management from George Washington University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from ����̽̽. 

Sam received the 2016 ����̽̽ Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award for his guidance through tough financial times as a ����̽̽ Trustee, as the chair of the ����̽̽ Investment Sub-Committee. He has served on the boards of multiple early-stage venture companies and nonprofit organizations and most notably the Board of Trustees of both ����̽̽ and St. Johnsbury Academy.
