Don Droppo, Jr., '96

Don Droppo

Droppo was named President and CEO of Curtis Packaging in 2010. Under his leadership, the company has dramatically grown and rebranded itself “Luxuriously Responsible,” becoming the first printing and packaging company in North America to be Forest Stewardship Council certified, manufacture using 100% clean renewable energy, to be carbon neutral & a zero waste to landfill facility. He is honored to manufacturer packaging for some of the world’s most iconic brands including: Titleist, Estee Lauder, Lindt, Johnnie Walker & many more.

In 2011, he was named one of Connecticut Magazine’s “40 Under 40” most promising young leaders.  Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Droppo served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Curtis responsible for marketing, sales and innovation. In 2018, Droppo created a new division (Corner’s Packaging) to develop innovative packaging for the Cannabis & CBD markets. 

Don is a Past Chairman of both CBIA (Connecticut Business and Industry Association) and the Connecticut River Valley Chapter of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) Board of Directors. He also served on the boards of the New Britain Museum of American Art & Reforest TheTropics.

Before joining Curtis, he was an Assistant Vice President at General Reinsurance, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway in Boston.  Droppo holds a B.S. in Marketing from ̽̽ (96’). For over 15 years, Don has proudly guest lectured at ̽̽’s Grossman School of Business engaging with both undergraduate and graduate students. Don is a University of Vermont Admissions volunteer and also won the prestigious Vermont Family Business Award in 2018. He is an active member of YPO, an avid skier / golfer and lives in Avon, CT with his wife  (Amy) and their three children. Droppo’s oldest son is a sophomore at The Grossman School of Business.

Jill Barsky

Jill Barsky

Jill is an Operational Excellence Manager at OnLogic, currently leading both the Supply Chain and Operational Excellence teams. A 2012 graduate of Clarkson University with a Mechanical Engineering degree, Jill began her career as an engineering project manager. Her career trajectory led her to the fascinating world of supply chain management and operations, where she thrived. After getting her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2019, her passion for process improvement and efficiency led her to her current role where she drives operational excellence across the organization. Jill has supported the growth of OnLogic by utilizing her expertise in streamlining processes, optimizing performance, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Chuck Bruch '09

Chuck Bruch

Chuck graduated from ̽̽ in 2009 from the Business School and took his passion for snowboarding into landing a job at Burton Snowboards. During his career, he has held several different roles including positions in customer service, inventory management, logistics, planning, and purchasing. He also received his MBA from Champlain College in 2018. While not at work, he can be found at any of the local mountains in the morning or weekends or out and about riding a bike around town.

Reed Doyle

Reed Doyle

Most recently, Reed Doyle was the Director of Business Development - Ingredients and Health & Beauty at Robertet Group, a global French fragrance and flavor manufacturer founded in 1850 that specializes in natural and bio-active raw materials. 

Prior to joining Robertet, Reed was a Partner and Director of Business Development at Klersun, a producer of federally compliant, high quality hemp extracts in Oregon. Reed established a successful joint-venture between Klersun and Robertet. Klersun’s hemp extracts can be found in many leading retails brand’s products on the market today including personal care, food, and beverage. Prior to joining Klersun, Reed was Director, Beverage Procurement at Dr. Pepper Keurig. In his role, he was responsible for ensuring the cost effective and sustainable procurement of raw materials, contract manufacturing, strategic sourcing and, most importantly, relationship building with new and innovative supply partners.   

For over a decade, Reed worked at Seventh Generation, a US company that sells sustainable home and personal care products, for ten years where he held leadership positions in supply chain, research & development + innovation, marketing, and corporate social responsibility.   

Earlier in his career, Reed worked as a research fellow at the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), a nonprofit think-and-do tank whose mission is to drive the efficient and restorative use of resources. He also spent over six years in Germany working with green chemist and visionary Michael Braungart, and American architect and designer William A. McDonough in their product design and development firm, McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry.  

Michaela Madden '15

Michaela Madden

Michaela Madden is a Product Manager at Wayfair, focusing on the strategy and development of catalog APIs. With over nine years at Wayfair, she has contributed to the expansion of external API offerings to help streamline supplier and vendor processes, particularly in order management, inventory, and catalog functionalities. Michaela has experience in API and EDI integrations, fulfillment processes, and supplier research, supporting efforts to improve efficiency across these areas.
