Vermont-Ethiopia
A tri-country initiative for
integrated pest management
practices.
We are
cooperatively involved in an insect pest management (IPM)
research program with Israel and Ethiopia that is in the final stages
of completion. Our goal is to develop effective, inexpensive management
alternatives to agricultural chemicals. The use of entomopathogenic
(insect-killing) fungi is an innovative approach for both developing
and developed countries.
We are working on effective techniques for mass - production of fungi,
which make use of materials which are readily available, and is easy to
understand.
