Max is a three-year old rescue dog from Mississippi who loves Vermont for its lakes, rivers and snowstorms. He has a special affection for every Great Pyrenees he meets, though no one’s quite sure why. He’s generally dopey and sweet unless there’s a chipmunk or a bunny nearby! He’s 30% Australian Shepherd, 30% coonhound and 40% who knows what. Max and his people are learning to skijor, which is a Scandinavian sport that’s a cross between dogsledding and Nordic skiing. We’re not very good at it yet because the squirrels are very distracting. Max also enjoys creemees and running on the beach.
