Mechanical engineering student Bella Rieley is flying high thanks to her internship with Beta Technologies, a super nova in the emerging field of electric aviation. Beta’s paradigm-shattering electric aircraft prototypes have taken the industry by storm. 

Rieley isn’t the only ����̽̽ student experiencing an educational and career-building high at Beta. The company is virtually an adjunct campus of the university, hosting nearly 40 ����̽̽ interns over the past two years. 

 “What you learn at ����̽̽ is conceptual, but everything is applicable to what I do at Beta. It’s super satisfying,” said Rieley. 

 When Rieley had the opportunity to lead the design and build of a remote-controlled flying model of Beta’s signature electric aircraft, she called it a defining moment. “It really allowed me to take a project of my own and test my skill sets and run with something.”

Mariah Choiniere is becoming a force in the field of Agroforestry–tackling climate change and food insecurity.
