The following resources and information may help you prepare to apply to a doctor of chiropractic program.

There are ~ 20 accredited chiropractic programs in the US/Canada leading to the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree. (ACC) provides more information as well as direct links to all accredited schools.

Prerequisite Courses

To apply, an undergraduate GPA > 3.0 is required and completion of 24 total credits (half with laboratory) in life sciences/physical sciences. At least one semester of anatomy, physiology, general biology, and general chemistry are courses that most successful applicants will have taken. Note that movement sciences (kinesiology, exercise science, biomechanics) can count toward the 24 credits of prerequisites, and some schools state that they recommend one or more of these.

Most schools recommend/strongly recommend at least one course in English composition and psychology and some schools have specific guidance regarding the number of humanities/social science credits they prefer. Consult individual school websites of interest for detailed information.
