Pre-Orientation Programs

At ¶¶Òõ̽̽, Pre-Orientation Programs (POPs) offer many opportunities for adventure and academic discovery. Small group sizes ensure meaningful connections and a sense of community, and all programs will have you back in time to join your group at New Student Orientation.

Below you can learn more about the Pre-Orientation Programs offered by ¶¶Òõ̽̽. The First Scholars, STEM Scholars, Summer Enrichment Scholars Program (SESP), ¶¶Òõ̽̽ GO, ¶¶Òõ̽̽ TREK, and ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Hillel Fresh Fest are programs available for new students before the start of the Fall 2025 semester.

First Scholars

A free opportunity for first-generation college students to form meaningful connections with one another, faculty, and staff and learn about academic and social resources at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ through a first-gen lens.

STEM Scholars

This program prepares students for academic excellence, career success, research, and graduate school. It begins with a six-week Summer Bridge, where students take a 3-credit course, intern in a research lab, and strengthen key skills to confidently start their first semester.

Summer Enrichment Scholars Program (SESP)

This free two-week pre-college program offers support for academic success, personal growth, identity, and cultural development. It's open to incoming first-year students who identify as students of color, first-generation college students, or those from limited socio-economic backgrounds.

¶¶Òõ̽̽ GO offers programs on global learning, intercultural skills, and community building. Options include summer travel with ¶¶Òõ̽̽ GO International and Cities, or early move-in with ¶¶Òõ̽̽ GO Community. Students gain awareness of global issues and connect with peers, faculty, alumni, and experts

For over 40 years, ¶¶Òõ̽̽ TREK has been creating traditions and memories! Adventure TREK offers outdoor trips like backpacking, rock climbing, and kayaking. Service TREK focuses on community projects around housing, food systems, and conservation.
