About the Mosaic Center for Students of Color Our Space Our Space Body The Mosaic Center for Students of Color is a home away from home both, literally and figuratively! We're located on the first floor of Living and Learning Building E and our space includes:An open lounge space for meetups, studying, or just hanging outSmall group meeting spacesA classroomA full kitchen with dining tablesFood pantryAccess to computers and printers Accessibility Accessibility Body The MCSC strives to develop events, programs, education, and services that are accessible to all people. Whenever possible, we utilize campus locations with wheelchair accessible doorways, wheelchair accessible bathrooms, gender inclusive bathrooms, and elevators. We are happy to provide ASL interpretation at events and programs as requested, and we include captions on all videos. We aim to provide food that is accessible to people with a broad range of dietary restrictions, and we are intentional to provide information about ingredients. If you ever need additional accommodations to ensure your full participation, email us (mcsc@uvm.edu). MCSC's front door is wheelchair accessible with path access on the front and back doors (both on the Living and Learning East pathway). The pathways are not steep and are maintained on a regular basis. There are two wheelchair accessible, gender inclusive bathrooms within our Center space. Animal Policy Animal Policy Body The MCSC strives to be a welcoming space. When convening in a public space we know that many community members cannot tolerate certain animals for a variety of reasons including allergies, religious beliefs, and traumatic experiences. As a result, below please find our policy regarding animals in the MCSC:Only service animals are allowed to be in the space.Your animal needs to be wearing its service vest and be on a short leash at all times so the community knows that the dog is on duty.Therapy and emotional support animals are not allowed in the space. If you have further questions about Animal Policies at the MCSC, email us (mscs@uvm.edu).
