Before your first day
Please complete the following tasks prior to attending your orientation session.
- Print our your first day parking permit
- Set up your
- Install and activate the DUO Security app on your mobile device
- Login to > Human Resources to
- Update your W-4 if needed (please contact payroll@uvm.edu with any questions)
- Sign up for direct deposit (please contact payroll@uvm.edu with any questions)
- Add or update personal information and emergency contact information
- Review the benefits information in your Welcome Letter

On your first day
Welcome to ¶¶Òõ̽̽! While you get to meet your new coworkers and learn more about your role, please make sure you complete the following items:
- Attend the Benefits Information Session (every Monday) from 10am-12pm via Teams.
- Complete your New Employee Onboarding Training Module via Brightspace by the end of your first week. This training will be sent and assigned to you via your ¶¶Òõ̽̽ email.
- (bring two Documents from List A or one from List B). You can complete this with our (no appointment needed) or with an HR representative in your unit.
- Complete your W-4
- Complete the Qualtrics benefits enrollment form (emailed to you from benefits@uvm.edu)
- Visit the for your ¶¶Òõ̽̽ ID (Bring a form of government issued photo ID); bring phone if setting up digital ID
During your first two weeks
- Apply for an employee parking permit if driving to campus
- Take the required
- If desired, request to join the Zone 1 (Green Parking) waitlist (pro tip: join--it's worth the wait)
- Email Permit Course Certificate and Application to parking@uvm.edu
- If hybrid or working remote full-time, submit a Telework Agreement (in PeopleSoft)
- WiFi Setup on phone
- Download Cisco Jabber for taking phone calls on computer
- Adobe Reader: Set up for Digital Signatures
- Set up appropriate Calendar and Viewing Rights
- Take a look at University Administrative Closures and add these dates to your Outlook calendar.
