BIO
As Manager of Campus and Community Engagement, I collaborate with partners on and off campus to foster transparency and inclusivity, ensuring that the Fleming is a welcoming space where all voices are valued and represented. To support our teaching and learning mission, I work with students, faculty, and community members of all ages to use the Fleming's galleries, exhibitions, and collections.
Before the Fleming Museum of Art, I worked in the nonprofit sector. While at Hunger Free Vermont, I provided outreach and education on 3SquaresVT, a federal nutrition program that works to eliminate food insecurity in our state. In addition to training service providers working directly with Vermonters needing nutrition resources, I deployed targeted strategies to reach vulnerable populations such as college students, seniors, new Americans, and working families with young children. I worked collaboratively with federal, state, and community partners to address barriers to participation and ensure all Vermonters could access the programs for which they are eligible.

Phil's Staff Pick

I’m really drawn to this piece’s connection to ecology and how the artist considers and explores environment as part of her art practice. It’s my go-to example when I’m asking students or visitors alike to really slow down and consider, what is this artwork telling me? I actually took classes with Cami Davis while completing my BA in Art History at ¶¶Òõ̽̽, which is another reason I love pointing it out, having faculty and alumni work in the galleries is always such a special experience.
Cameron Davis (United States, b. 1954) Red Flower Dream, from Endless Spring, 2010–2013. Acrylic on canvas. Museum purchase 2019.11
