General Mail FAQs

Student: I can't find my package, can you help?
Body

Yes, please first check with your residence hall mail room/office to see if your package is there. All packages received by all carriers come to our Williston Facility first and they are delivered to residence halls the same day we receive them. Monday- Saturday (except for holidays). Some packages may be scanned delivered by USPS, and will say, "Individual Picked Up" and that means they scanned it to ¶¶Òõ̽̽, but if it was scanned after 9:00 a.m. that day, it would not be actually delivered until the next day. If you are on break, your package will be forwarded to your last known updated address in your 'myuvm portal.' If after reading this you still think your package is on campus, you can submit a "" request.

Student: Do you have my package there at the Print & Mail Center?
Body

PMC does not bring any student packages to the Print & Mail Center. in the Waterman Building. All packages go to our Williston Facility for distribution. All packages are received and delivered directly to the residence hall mail rooms the same day. We encourage you to first check with your residence hall mail room/office to see if your package is there. If USPS says, "Individual Picked Up", that means they scanned it to ¶¶Òõ̽̽, but depending on the time it could take another day to actually be delivered to ¶¶Òõ̽̽. Packages have to be scanned by 9:00 a. m. in order to make the truck that comes to our Williston Facility each morning. Please know that we work hard to make sure packages are delivered to each residence hall the same day they are receive from all carriers, and we do this everyday Monday-Saturday (except for holidays). If after reading this you still think your package is on campus, you can submit a "" request.

Most likely UPS and FedEx was not selected as an allowable use by your Department's CMS Manager.
