Study spaces and lounges
Game Room and Burack Family Fireplace Lounge
Davis Center First Floor
Foosball and pool tables — for free! Plus free board games, magazines, and other games available from our Hoffman Information and Resource Center. We've even got a freshwater biotope with local wildlife straight from Lake Champlain, complete with three resident turtles. For wildlife enthusiasts, there may be one or two additional surprises in the lounge. Make sure you stop by!
Olin Atrium
Location: Davis Center 1st floor
Watch the world go by in this four–story, bright and beautiful space. Trimmed with locally harvested maple wood from Bostwick Farms in Shelburne, this is a perfect spot to pause during a busy day.
Green Roof and Terrace
Location: Davis Center 2nd floor - Outside the Marketplace
Boasting one of the best views on campus, the green roof provides privacy and green space for hanging out on bluebird Vermont days. Perfect for having lunch with friends or catching up on homework, the green roof features picnic tables by local metalworker and ¶¶Òõ̽̽ alumna and the beautiful sculpture Areté Blu by ¶¶Òõ̽̽ alum . And when it rains? We're glad you asked. By design the green roof helps mitigate and manage stormwater run-off (think: less water pollution).
Diversity and Equity Lounge
Location Davis Center 3rd floor - Suite 301
The LGBTQA center, the Women’s Center, the Mosaic Center for Students of Color, and Affirmative Action's extension of the knowledgeable, safe, and fun spaces in their individual areas. This lounge space is a resource for students, as well as a great hang out space in the DC. Now in Davis Center 301!
Livak Fireplace Lounge and Gallery
Davis Center 4th floor
Looking for a quiet space to study during the day? Check out the lounge area on the fourth floor. The lounge offers cozy seating with some nice fireplace vibes for those cold winter months - plus bright south facing windows and epic atrium views - all while the Davis Center’s student art curators keep things interesting with new exhibits all year round!
The Tunnel and Sodexo Sustainability Gallery
Davis Center 1st floor
The tunnel is not only the safest way to cross Main St., but also the warmest. Featuring benches constructed from trees harvested from ¶¶Òõ̽̽'s Jericho Research Forest, a dynamic LED lighting element and jams from student-run radio station , the tunnel does double duty as both an educational tool and climate controlled way to get from point A (say... residential campus) to point B (like... the library).
