BIO

Laura joined the Computer Science department in 2024 after six years in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics. She worked for many years doing defense work as a private contractor and then as a DoD civilian. She developed an interest in teaching when training civilians and military personnel in programming, math, statistics, and cryptology. Exiting the defense world when she moved to Vermont, she taught part-time at the Community College of Vermont before joining ¶¶Òõ̽̽. Laura enjoys spending time outdoors (especially with her dog) and obstacle course races.
