Internship Opportunities

The Center for Research on Vermont manages all internships at ¶¶Òõ̽̽. These are meaningful opportunities for students to get hands-on experience in a field of their interest, under the guidance of experienced professionals and ¶¶Òõ̽̽ instructors.

Local Democracy and Vermont Research

Body

The Local Democracy and Vermont Research Internship Program offers students opportunities to work with Vermont town municipal offices to assist with communications, day-to-day operations, resident engagement, special projects, events, and more. There are also student opportunities with CRVT research projects that dive deep into Vermont demographics, culture, and governance. Together, these internships are a chance for students to contribute to civic functions and democracy here in our state.

Vermont Legislature

Body

Vermont's citizen legislators have no professional staff. The Legislative Internship Center pairs students with legislators to do a range of work from responding to constituents, policy research, event coordination, and logistics support. Students gain professional experience and get a first-hand look at policy-making up close.

Public Health

Body

Students are matched with organizations around the state that work to address public health challenges. A partnership between the College of Arts and Sciences, Health and Society, and CNHS' Health Sciences program, the Public Health Community of Practice brings students together across disciplines to support the health of Vermonters.
