Joshua BeneÅ¡, M.P.A., is an Assistant Director within the OVPR responsible for building the university’s capacity for mountain and watershed research. Mr. BeneÅ¡ joined ¶¶Òõ̽̽ in 2021 to lead planning and development of the Mount Mansfield Science and Stewardship Center (MMSSC) as a ¶¶Òõ̽̽ field station and outreach facility. He is also working with the OVPR to develop new regional and international partnerships around mountain snow, water, and climate monitoring. He has years of experience in organizational management and stream ecology and hydrology research, having worked on the north slope of Alaska as field crew manager, as Lab Manager for the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory, and as executive director of a nonprofit focused on land and water stewardship in Wisconsin.
