Sam is originally from Southwest Florida and has mainly studied herpetofauna for the majority of their academic career. Their previous research focused on occupancy and detectability modeling of non-native species. In their free time, Sam enjoys hiking with their family, kayaking, skiing, and doing crossword puzzles.
