BIO

What drew Eduardo to Vermont was ¶¶Òõ̽̽’s strengths in the fields of Ecological Economics and the Environment. While research in these fields landed him here, it is the people, and the opportunity to grow and develop as an educator that has kept him here. During his time at ¶¶Òõ̽̽, Eduardo has worked as a first-year student advisor and instructed a variety of courses, including Introduction to Ecological Economics (ENVS/NR 141), Integrating Science, Society and Policy (NR 205), Critical Reflection and Dialogue (NR 5), and Race and Culture in Natural Resources (NR 6).

In him teaching he aims to create an engaging classroom by connecting theory with contemporary issues, providing students with a broad range of perspectives, and employing a mix of pedagogical styles. Eduardo is particularly interested in interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary themes, where traditional boundaries are less important than the questions sought to explore.
