Research During COVID – Research Activity Level 4

As you are aware ¶¶Òõ̽̽ is at Research Activity Level 4 as November 23, 2020. A subsequent joint notice from ¶¶Òõ̽̽ and LCOM further decreased activities within Level 4 specific to just clinical settings.  See these notices on the IRB COVID-19 Information page.

The IRB continues to receive COVID related protocols and COVID related amendments to ongoing protocols.  We encourage researchers and staff to continue safe practices.

Conducting Research Electronically

With more and more researchers pivoting to remote means to continue their research, the IRB convened a small subgroup of IRB members and researchers to further refine our electronic consent guidance, develop guidance for virtual research visits and technical guidance to support these activities.  All of these guidance documents are listed below and may be found in the IRB Policies and Procedures document.
