University Commons is a brand-new, ¶¶Òõ̽̽-managed apartment community reserved for ¶¶Òõ̽̽ juniors, seniors, and transfer students. Just a short walk from the heart of ¶¶Òõ̽̽'s campus, University Commons balances the independence of off-campus life with the resources that come with living on-campus.

Apartment Community Information

  • Brand new build opening in August 2025
  • Buildings Available: University Commons South and North
  • Houses: Junior, senior, and transfer students who have already fulfilled/do not have an on-campus housing requirement
  • Anticipated cost is dependent on the apartment type
  • You will have your own bedroom within your assigned apartment unit.
  • Your deposit will be the same as the cost per student listed for your specific apartment type below.
  • All students will be billed individually for their portion of the monthly rent. In the case that an apartment is not fully occupied, residents will not be responsible for paying rent for unoccupied bedrooms in the unit.

  • Apartment layout: See above. All apartments have a bathroom, kitchen, and living room for only the occupants of that apartment.
  • Anticipated move-in date for new residents for Academic Year 2025-26: August 1, 2025
  • More information on move-in and occupancy dates to come. 
    • Students who want to continue for a second year at University Commons, will have the opportunity to remain in their apartment and renew their contract through May 31. 2026 (as long as you will be a ¶¶Òõ̽̽ student for the 2026-2027 school year)

    • Deposits will be due after you complete and sign your University Commons contract.

How to Apply

Body
  1. Submit an interest form in the housing portal: In Spring 2025, eligible students will see the Catamount East and University Commons interest form in the housing portal. Please as soon as possible to request a space in University Commons. 
    Note: If you recently paid your acceptance fee, it may take a few days for you to be able to access the portal.
  2. Indicate a roommate preference (optional): If you have a preferred roommate who would also like to live in University Commons, please provide their name on your interest form and have them complete their own interest form with your information.
  3. Contract offer: Once you have been selected to live in University Commons, your space will be guaranteed. Contracts will be available soon after for you to sign and a deposit will be due shortly thereafter.
