Seminar Details:

Cajita project-intro, AY24-25 required, allows repeat participation from previous cohorts.

Background: Graduate students in all academic disciplines are expected to master several key competencies, including those in the areas of teaching, multiculturalism and social (in)equities, personal and social responsibility, and self-reflection. The BilDS leadership team believes that these competencies are especially important as we train and mentor our BilDS trainees, who we consider our future problem-solvers. To examine how our hearts and minds are connected to engage in the work that we are passionate about, this unique contemplative pedagogic assignment involves students experiencing contemplative pedagogy as well as undergoing deep reflection/self-inquiry about their lives and the kind of scientific community they wish to become and create in the future.

Other cajita-project alumi are welcome! Snacks will be provided.
