Dear ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Community,

Following a productive month of listening, information-gathering, and organizing, the Presidential Search Advisory Committee and our partners at Isaacson, Miller have created a comprehensive leadership profile to inform the recruitment of the next president of ¶¶Òõ̽̽. We are pleased to share this with the community on the Presidential Search website.

Feedback from the community has been broad and impressively robust, reinforcing the commitment of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members to the collective success of the university. Through listening sessions and survey input, we heard from more than 1400 people, with strong representation across all constituencies, about the opportunities and challenges ahead for the university’s continued success and the strengths we should seek in our next president. The leadership profile reflects the shared desire of respondents for a leader with a clear strategic vision for ¶¶Òõ̽̽, outstanding communication skills, and commitment to making strong connections across campus and around the state to continue the excellent trajectory of the university.

With the publication of this profile, the search for our next president is fully underway. The committee and Isaacson, Miller will work together to identify, engage, and evaluate a talented and experienced pool of candidates over the coming weeks. Your efforts to recommend possible applicants to is encouraged, and the committee will continue to engage the community for additional perspective.

The present competitive environment in which universities are recruiting leaders dictates a process that is both thorough and discreet. From this point, the careful work of the committee, the search firm, and the trustees will progress with diligence to identify a single finalist, who will be carefully evaluated by the community and the board of trustees.

We invite additional input throughout this process. The developed by Isaacson, Miller will remain open for the duration of the search for anyone who wishes to provide suggestions about the potential goals and qualities of the next president. Information on the search is always available at .

Thank you again for your participation in this process, and for your partnership in attracting outstanding candidates to the opportunity to lead our beloved university.

Best wishes,
