Clinical Programs | Osher Center for Integrative Health at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ | ¶¶Òõ̽̽(title)

Integrative healthcare utilizes conventional (e.g., medication, physical rehabilitation, psychotherapy) and complementary (e.g., acupuncture, yoga, and culinary medicine) approaches, with an emphasis on treating the whole person rather than one area of the body.

Our goal is to provide an unconditionally supportive care environment that addresses the entire experience of chronic pain.

− Jon Porter, MD, Director of the Osher Center for Integrative Health, Medical Director of Comprehensive Pain Program, Assistant Professor of Family Medicine

Our clinical programs offer effective, quality integrative healthcare that is coordinated among different providers and institutions–and centered around the patient.

Services

Through rigorous institutional evaluation and needs assessments, including staff and practitioner surveys, the Osher Center for Integrative Health strives to bring integrative therapies to the outpatient and inpatient arenas and to help address the growing demand for integrative health in the region. The following integrative patient programs and services are available at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Medical Center.

Opened in September 2018, the Comprehensive Pain Program offers a range of integrative services to patients with chronic pain.

Services include massage in the Infusion Center, inpatient oncology floor and for metastatic patients; yoga; acupuncture in the Infusion Center (beginning September 2018); mindfulness-based stress reduction; and Reiki.

Integrative Therapies at the ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Children's Center

Massage, yoga and music therapy are available to inpatient pediatric patients through a generous grant from Lucy’s Love Bus. We also offer Reiki through our Child Life Specialists.
