BIO

Sandy Bermanzohn joined the Division of Inclusive Excellence in March 2022 as the Events Coordinator and Business Administrator. She coordinates the division’s signature events including the Inclusive Excellence Symposium, the MLK Keynote Celebration and the Andrew Harris Legacy Reception.

Sandy has worked at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ since 2010, and previously worked in the College of Arts & Sciences as a financial analyst. Prior to working at ¶¶Òõ̽̽, Sandy was an outreach social worker and case manager for people experiencing mental illness, homelessness and addiction.

Sandy grew up in Brooklyn, NY and came to ¶¶Òõ̽̽ as an undergraduate, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies with a concentration in Race, Class and Gender and a minor in Critical Race & Ethnic Studies. Sandy is currently working towards an Interdisciplinary Master’s degree in social justice education.

In her free time, you can find Sandy hanging out with her awesome kids and family, gardening for hours on end, working towards social justice and change making on one of the local committees she participates in, or being cozy and reading books.
