Since 1988 we have used 0.042m2 traps (n = 264 traps, collections once per year in May before red maple seed fall. Litter collection was dropped because the volume was too great to effectively sort and measure. Seed collection was maintained because seed production relates well to tree recruitment and small mammal abundance.Holt Research Forest Annual Tree Seed CollectionCooperClarkeWithamJackFrenchKellyMurrayPaulinaseed productionmastmaineseedTraps-SM_2016-20211983-05-01CSV file, 2016-2021 seed counts by species from 144 seed traps located within 2m of small mammal transect trap stations.Determine seed production from locations adjacent to small mammal trap locations.Z1217_4003_XW4776VMC.1217.4003mySQLHolt Research Forest, Maine TREE Foundation (2024) seedTraps-SM_2016-2021.
