- Method Description: The station provides near real-time monitoring for meteorological variables including wind speed and direction, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, precipitation and total solar irradiance. Data are automatically downloaded via radio frequency modem. Instrumentation: Fondreist weather station (Lufft WS 502 weather station linked to a Fondreist data logger and cell phone download)

- Site Description: The Diamond Island station is on the US Coast Guard Station navigational warning light tower on Lake Champlain (Lat: 44.2367, Long: -73.3329). Station is at 14.7 meters above lake level (45.4 meters above sea level).
