What We Do
Direct Technical Assistance
The heart and soul of our work with farmers is on-farm technical assistance. Are you a new farmer or looking to get into livestock farming? Could you use help identifying or applying for funding to implement a new on-farm technology? Do you need a pasture management strategy that best utilizes your available land and that promotes the health and wellbeing of your grazing animals? The ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Extension’s Center for Sustainable Agriculture is here to help! Our purpose is to understand what is and what isn’t working in grass-based farming systems, and to explore, understand and share promising practices with Vermont’s farmers.
Education
We offer education programs on topics of interest, and we work with farmers who are interested in showcasing successful or innovative technologies and practices.
