Nutrient Management
Nutrient Management Classes
The six-week Nutrient Management classes are offered every year, usually starting in January, by agronomists from the Champlain Valley Crop, Soil and Pasture Team and the Northwest Crops and Soils Team. These classes give an overview of nutrient management and help you develop your own farm plan, created to the NRCS 590 Standard. The course utilizes the an online software tool â„¢ to create your nutrient management plan.
In order to take the class, you must first obtain current soil tests and a land treatment plan with farm maps. If you have questions about the process of creating a nutrient management plan, contact us at champlain.crops@uvm.edu, 802-388-4969. Detailed Course Info at the Northwest Crops and Soils website.
